Finally, I received my new office laptop from IT.
I should get this since 2008.08.16 ... almost half year delay!
But at least I got a new model, HP EliteBook 6930p, which is much faster than my old, slow Dell.
The new computer has 3G memory, Intel T9400 CPU, FUJITSU MHZ2160BJ G2 7200RPM HD, and 1440*900 display. This is also better than my IBM x60 (T7200).
Here is the brief comparison:
super pi 1M: 27s -> 17s
HD tune Transfer Rate Average: 50.4 MB/sec -> 57.2 MB/sec
It seems that I can retire the IBM (small black) and fully live with the new HP.
The only problem is that I may have to carry this 2.1Kg dumbbell pa-pa-walk between my home and office.
Life is for training, though.
